New Babies

Here are our new additions. There are 3 total, the black one, a gray tiger, and a calico. They are only 2 days old, but will need homes in about 8 weeks. I took in a stray in January and now here in April we have kittens. We are keeping the mommy kitty but she is definately taking a visit to the local vet.

Leprachaun

This is an Oddball Baby Blanket that I was part of also part of knittinghelp.com charity knitting. The top brighter green section is mine. These blankets are passed around to 6 knitters to knit a 4 inch section and then are donated to the Bridgeport Children's Hospital in Conneticut. I have worked on several of these blankets, with more to come. You can find more of these blankets at www.northeastoddball.blogspot.com,

Oddball Care Shawl- Pink Passion

This is part of an Oddball Care Shawl that I knit a 4 inch piece on. This shawl will go around to various knitters that are part of knittinghelp.com. and is then given to someone in the group that may be going thru a rough time or just needs a pick me up. This one is called Pink Passion and should all be knit in different shades of pink. I will receive this a second time to knit another section in the same shade that I knit with on this section. When it returns to me I will be sure to post another picture to show the progress. You can see other shawls at oddballshawls.blogspot.com

My New Socks

I made this pair of socks for myself. And surprise, surprise I actually like them and for once keep something for myself. I think I will run a small string of elastic thru the top to give them a little more support in the ribbing but other than that I love them. I made them with tofutsie sock yarn that my husband bought for me on our honeymoon.

Made this little set for my niece's new addition. The hat was my own idea, it's just a K2, P2 rib pattern all the way to the top, the sock pattern was in one of the books that I have that I can't rememer and the little fingerless mitts came from a pattern found on Ravelry called Thumb suckers. I made this set from some Moda Dea sock yarn I had in my stash.
